PreFlight is a drone weather and airspace awareness app. It is designed to help drone pilots make informed preflight decisions. Your privacy is important to us, and PreFlight is built with a privacy-first approach.
PreFlight does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising SDKs, or third-party data brokers. We do not create user accounts or require login.
PreFlight uses your device location solely to show weather and airspace conditions near you. Your coordinates are sent directly to public data APIs (listed below) to fetch relevant information. Location data is never stored on our servers, because we do not operate any servers. All requests go directly from your device to the data providers.

Each provider has its own privacy policy. PreFlight sends only the minimum data required (typically latitude and longitude) to these services.
PreFlight stores your preferences (units, map style) locally on your device using standard platform storage. Cached weather and map data is stored temporarily on your device to reduce network requests. None of this data leaves your device.
Some features (airspace tiles, precipitation radar) accept optional API keys you provide. These keys are stored locally on your device and sent only to the corresponding data provider. We never see or have access to your keys.
PreFlight does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
If we ever change this policy, the updated version will be available at this same URL and within the app.
