Terms of Use

Last updated July 2026

Acceptance

By using PreFlight, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What PreFlight Does

PreFlight aggregates publicly available weather, airspace, and environmental data to help drone pilots assess flying conditions. It is a decision-support tool, not a regulatory authority.

Not a Substitute for Pilot Judgment

PreFlight provides advisory information only. It does not replace your responsibilities as pilot in command under FAA Part 107 or any other applicable regulations. You are solely responsible for determining whether conditions are safe to fly. Always perform your own preflight assessment, check NOTAMs, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Data Accuracy

Weather, airspace, and obstacle data is sourced from third-party public APIs and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Airspace boundaries are approximate. Public land classifications are advisory. ADS-B traffic data depends on community receivers and does not show all aircraft. PreFlight makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed.

No Warranty

PreFlight is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be accurate or current.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreFlight and its developers shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to damage to equipment, injury, regulatory violations, or any other losses. Use at your own risk.

Intellectual Property

PreFlight and its original content are the property of the developer. Data displayed in the app belongs to its respective sources (NOAA, FAA, USGS, Open-Meteo, adsb.lol, Blitzortung).

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of PreFlight after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
